Ronald F. May, 93, died Monday, March 4, 2002 at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, California. He was a lifelong resident of Waynedale, building many of its houses and later operating the El May apartments from 1963 to 2000. He loved running mechanical equipment and won his pilot’s wings and took up skiing at the age of sixty. He was a member of the Waynedale Lions Club since 1947. His wife Louise, died March 11, 2000.
They have three children, Nancy – Aberfeldy, Scotland; Barbara – Portola Valley, California; Ronald W.- Churubusco, Indiana; sisters Gloria Bell McOmber & Princess Poorman, Waynedale; and 5 Grandchildren
A memorial service will be held at 1pm, Saturday, June 15, 2002 at Waynedale United Methodist Church. Burial of the cremains will be at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Ossian, Indiana. The family suggests that memorials be made to: The Morton Cure Paralysis Fund, P.O. Box 580396, Minneapolis, MN 55458-0396.
