Conexus Indiana CEO Steven Dwyer and Northeast Indiana Works President Kathleen Randolph announced the appointment of Andrew F. Brooks, president of Fort Wayne’s Brooks Construction Co. Inc., to the Conexus Indiana Board of Directors.

Brooks joins the 11-member board comprised of statewide representatives from industry and academia who guide Conexus Indiana in its mission to strengthen Indiana’s position as an advanced manufacturing and logistics leader. Both industry clusters are growing in northeast Indiana.

“Andy has been an active contributor over the years to Conexus Indiana and has a real passion for ensuring we protect and grow our assets in the advanced manufacturing and logistics sectors,” said Dwyer. “He serves on the Conexus Indiana Logistics Council, and was recently named to chair the Northeast Logistics Council, which addresses priority projects and public policy issues that impact a 13-county region.”

Randolph, whose organization oversees the region’s workforce development activities and is northeast Indiana’s liaison to Conexus Indiana, echoed Dwyer’s endorsement of Brooks.

“Andy is a third-generation leader of his family’s business with 37 years of experience in the construction industry,” Randolph said. “He is a true strategic collaborator and has served industry-related organizations and the community with great distinction.”

Brooks is currently in a second term as a member of the Build Indiana Council (BIC PAC), and is chair of the BIC PAC, where he was a founding member. He also is active on the board of the Regional Chamber of Northeast Indiana, and formerly was a board member of the Greater Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce. He is past president of the Fort Wayne-Allen County Economic Development Alliance, and a board member of the Junior Achievement Foundation, the Fort Wayne Community Foundation and the AWS Foundation.

“As a business owner in this region, I know how important it is to leverage our existing position and continue to plan for future growth,” Brooks said. “I am glad to be joining Conexus Indiana and working with statewide leaders to continue this important work.”

He is a graduate of DePauw University with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics.
