Little River Wetlands Project, a local nature organization protecting almost 1,200 acres of natural and restored wetlands near Fort Wayne and Huntington, offers interesting and informative nature events.

Every Tuesday in April
9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
“Little River Ramblers.”
Meet at the Eagle Marsh barn, 6801 Engle Road, Fort Wayne to hike and explore the preserve’s interesting plants and wildlife.

“The Ducks are Back!”
Meet at the Boy Scout office parking lot, end of Olde Canal Place Drive (opposite Lutheran Hospital entrance on W. Jefferson Blvd.), Fort Wayne.
Join birding expert Paul McAfee as we walk the edges of Eagle Marsh ponds to find the many species of ducks present in spring.

“How Garlic Mustard is Affecting our Habitats and What You Can Do About It.”
Light breakfast and nature presentation for nature lovers 50+ at Coventry Meadows Senior Community on W. Jefferson Blvd., Fort Wayne.
Based on his 40+ years of experience managing garlic mustard, Ellsworth Smith will provide information about this problematic but interesting plant species.
