For late summer fun for the whole family at an affordable price, it's pretty hard to beat 4-H Fairs. Opening day for the Allen County 4-H Fair will be on Monday, July 22 and will continue through Saturday, July 27, 2002 at the Allen County Fairgrounds, 2726 Carroll Road. Admission is only $3.

Sue received the award and certificate July 11, 2002 at the Main Post Office in downtown Fort Wayne. She was presented with the award by Lori Thomas, Customer Relations Coordinator for USPS. State Rep. Ben GiaQuinta (D-Fort Wayne), a World War II veteran, was honored by the American Legion Department of Indiana for his legislative efforts on behalf of those men and women who have served their country. Monday, July 1st 2002, Mark Evan's and the TV 33 news team visited The Waynedale Bakery. The Channel 33 TV remote truck arrived at the bakery at 4:30 am Monday morning and the set-up began. Those of you who stopped by the bakery found doughnuts and coffee free for all.

Details Little Turtle Go-Kart Staff includes Ben Zwick, Scott Pressler, Abe Wedler, and Chris Pressler (front row).

The fastest go-karts, the largest track and the lowest prices in the area are at Little Turtle Go-Karts, 5214 Decatur Road. Originally, Little Turtle was started by the Schmidt family in the mid-70's. It combined both a go-kart track and a bowling alley. A fire in the early 1980's destroyed the bowling alley moving the bowling business to its current location, 6700 Decatur Road/Hwy 27 South now known as Little Turtles Hillcrest Bowl. Krieg Wolf has moved on to a new location. After 3 successful years managing the Waynedale Pizza Hut, Krieg and his wife Kim have moved to the Decatur Pizza Hut. The Waynedale Pizza Hut patrons will miss Krieg & Kim, but they wish them all the best on their new adventure.
