On Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 10a.m. the Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana, Cadette Troop 20046, and the Rotary Club of Fort Wayne unveiled a Little Free Library™ at Girl Scout Corporate Office at 10008 Dupont Circle Drive East, Fort Wayne, IN 46825.

The local members of the 122nd Fighter Wing have recently been deployed. War Beard is calling on the community to provide support to these men and women as they will be deployed for an extended period of time, including the holiday season.

Prairie-Grove-Chapel-Outside-Snow

Waynedale's antiquated tiny Prairie Grove Chapel will be holding a Christmas service on Tuesday the 23rd starting at 7:00 PM. The doors will be open at 6:30. Admission is free and there will be no need to pick up tickets in advance. There will be space for about 100 people.

This quaint little white-framed chapel along Old Trail Road will also be holding a service on Wednesday, Christmas Eve, the 24th at the same time.

National nonprofit Wreaths Across America is working hard to ensure no veteran from Fort Wayne is forgotten this holiday season. On December 13, live, balsam remembrance wreaths will be placed at the headstones of fallen veterans at nearly 1,000 locations across the country and overseas. WWII-bomber

On August 2, 2014, Northern Indiana Austin Healey Club members Gary Derickson and I, Tim Mahnensmith, drove our Healeys to Fort Wayne International Airport to fulfill a life long dream. Kingston-Trunk-or-Treat

Two events were held in the latter part of October to raise money for the Waynedale Trails and Sidewalks Initiative.

On October 25th, Kingston Residence hosted a Trunk or Treat at their Assisted Living on Winchester Road. Executive Director Erin Floyd stated, "We had a beautiful day for the event and 24 area businesses turned out to support the Waynedale Initiative."
