Fort 4 Fitness Kingston

Thirteen residents at Kingston Residence participated in the annual Fort 4 Fitness Senior Marathon this year. These folks have proven that they are ready, willing and able to go the extra mile...or 26.2 to be exact. Older adults needed to walk 26.2 miles over a period of about 12 weeks in order to complete the marathon. However, these 13 walkers far surpassed these expectations.

Scoutmaster Chris Burnett, Scout Leader James Kleber, Scouts Jay Kleber, Jacob Lichtsinn, Jordan Barnsfield and John Burnett Troop #344 trail clearing crew for the Vineyard 5K Trail Race benefiting Our Turn To Serve (assisting soldiers with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or Brain Trauma).

A year and a half ago, in March of 2014, plans began to take root for blazing a trail for a trail race to include running and/or walking through the woods and vineyard at Two EEs Winery.

The densely wooded property is located along Highway 24 near Roanoke and the trail begins across the parking area from the winery.

This is the first HFNEI flight comprised primarily of Korean War Veterans. Board President Bob Myer shares that on this flight, 62 of the Veterans served in the Korean War and 24 are from WWII. Two of the Veterans are women. 1,220 WWII Veterans will have been served since the group’s inaugural trip in May 2009.

Our Bishop Luers girl’s golf team had a day to talk about! All 5 girls shot a career best 18-hole score in competition!

Allen County Court does not make phone calls, demand payments for missed jury duty.

A persistent scam involving phone calls claiming that the recipient has missed jury duty and owes a fine have surfaced again in Allen County.
