At Canterbury School's Spring Book Fair, visitors can chat with award-winning authors, a prima ballerina, and a Brazilian chef. The Robert Goldstine Foundation has made a $1 million gift to the University of Saint Francis for the enhancement of its Performing Arts Center at 431 W. Berry St., Fort Wayne, underscoring a long-term friendship between the university and the foundation's creator.

The friendship—and the university's gratitude—will be displayed when the building's name is lettered as the Robert Goldstine Performing Arts Center to proclaim the legacy to all.

Parkview Research Center’s Prostate Cancer Survivorship program received  proceeds from Blue Ball Open Golf Outing. Officials with the Blue Ball Open presented the Parkview Foundation with a check in the amount of $6,200 in support of prostate cancer research. The donation will be appropriated to the Parkview Research Center to help fund ongoing and future prostate cancer research.

Members of the 122nd Fighter Wing will assist with Air Cargo operations, Saturday, April 5th, in a joint effort with the Royal Australian Air Force to aid in the ongoing search for Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 which has been missing since March 8th. At approximately 10:30 a.m., an Australian Air Force C-17 Globemaster III arrived at the wing to load equipment for a return flight to Australia and the equipment will be used to conduct maritime search operations.

Build-a-Can

A group of 7th graders at St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth School participated in the CANstruction event at Glenbrook Square. On March 14, the 7th graders designed and built their entry made entirely out of canned goods, a re-creation of the Great Barrier Reef. These canned goods will be donated to the Community Harvest Food Bank in Fort Wayne.

The 7th graders were directed by junior high teachers Mrs. Brough, Mrs. Jump, Mrs. Dykhuizen, Mrs. Voigt and Mr. Smith.
