Kingston Residence helped Monona Bonifas celebrate 100 years of living. Monona has lived from the times of horse and carriage to the first automobile, space flight, and the information highway. Her positive outlook and sense of humor have taken her through 10 decades.

At 3:00 PM on Friday, April 16, 2004 Kingston Residence, friends and family helped Monona celebrate her 100th birthday with cake and candles.

Don Goss received the Lifetime Achievement Award on April 3, 2004 from the University of Saint Francis.

The inscription on the plaque reads "The University of Saint Francis School of Creative Arts presents the 2004 Lifetime Achievement Award for dedication, service, creativity and leadership in Arts Education to Don Goss, April 3, 2004".

Congratulations to Phyllis Foster who celebrated her 80th Birthday on April 8th. Phyllis stopped by The Waynedale News last Wednesday and we captured her digitally. She is the Grand Niece of Abner Elzey, who was the founder of Waynedale. Phyllis has been married to her husband, Robert Foster for 62 years. She also mentioned that, Rich Elzey, owner of Rich's Auto Service, is her nephew and the Great Grand nephew of Abner Elzey.

This year's Waynedale Memorial Day Parade, is scheduled for Monday, May 31st. The parade route will begin at the Waynedale United Methodist Church, 2501 Church Street, and end at Prairie Grove Cemetery at the north end of Old Trail Road. As always, a ceremony will be held at the cemetery honoring all veterans.

LOY-KING - Traci Ann Loy, Fort Wayne, and Lyle Matthew King, Avilla, are planning a wedding June 19 at Calvary United Methodist Church, 6301 Winchester Road.

Their parents are Rick and Lynn Loy, Fort Wayne; and Leonard and Marjorie King, Avilla.

The bride-elect graduated from Wayne High School and Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne. She is employed by Lincoln Financial Group. Her fiance graduated from Wayne High School and is employed by Brookwood Cabinets.

The circular window on the north side of St. Therese's Catholic Church, Lower Huntington Road, is now complete. It was installed beginning last week, Thursday, April 1 by The Lynchburg Stained Glass Company from Virginia.
