“KIDS-YOU WERE GREAT TODAY”

The world celebrated and welcomed the new year at midnight this morning, with each country, city, and individual finding their own special way to usher in the year 2003. FOX ISLAND IN THE WINTER

Details Cross-Country Skiing was open while the snow lasted.  Tom Lochner, Cross-Country Ski Supervisor, advises to call ahead for current ski conditions.

With the recent snowfall of over 8 inches, many skiers experienced the miles of beautiful wooded trails this past weekend as the Fox Island Trails on Yohne Road were open for cross-country skiing.

Allen County Parks need at least 4 inches of snow to operate their Cross-Country Ski Program. Cross-Country Skis and Boots are available for rent in sizes ranging from child to adult. Rental Hours are from 9am to 4pm. Rental Fees are: $5 per hour for adults, $4 per hour for Seniors and children 12...

ALL ARE WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE IN CHRISTMAS BIRD COUNT

Details This bluejay was spotted on a wooded trail at Fox Island, it is one of the vulnerable species affected by the West Nile virus.

While many of us were out doing our shopping and baking, the Audubon Society was dedicating their time to the annual Christmas Bird Count. This special group of people walked through woods and streams, hiked the trails, and drove along fields to count birds.
