This years fall trip started Friday night, September 13. The group consisted of Jim, Randy, Boyd, and myself. We headed for Michigan's Upper Peninsula with only a general idea of where we wanted to go. Anything after Labor Day is considered 'Off-Season' in the UP, so there is always an abundance of available cabins. We got out of town by 9:00pm and headed north.

Helen, from H&H Shoe Repair called last Monday. She mentioned that she would be flying her flag on Wednesday, 9-11-2002. She requested a visit from The Waynedale News for a few photos. After stopping at H&H, I drove around the Waynedale area and shot a few more pictures. Rememberance of the tragedy of a year ago was everywhere. 7 collegiate teams set out at 6:30am on Sunday, September 8, 2002 to catch the 7th Annual Big Ten Classic Conference Title held at Salamonie Reservoir, about 34 miles southwest of Fort Wayne, IN.
