The Healing Garden Quilt—-Made with love and tears in memory of loved ones .

The Healing Garden Quilt, made by members and friends of the Waynedale United Methodist Church will be auctioned off by a silent auction during their Fish Fry on Friday, October 18th. If you would like to see the quilt, it is now hanging in the church sanctuary, 2501 Church Street, Waynedale.

The quilt was started in September, 2001 and completed on April 30, 2002. The design in the quilt is from the blossoms and leaves of plants used in chemotherapy drugs. It was made in memory of loved ones...

Harold Hollman, community leader, church leader, family leader, died September 21 at the Lutheran Home, he was 93 years old.

Harold was a willful and dynamic man. He had the vision and ability to make things happen, often for the benefit of the church and the public, his family and his business, City Glass Specialty.

St. Therese parishioners and school students gathered on Tuesday morning, September 24, on the parish grounds to witness the erection of the steeple and cross for their new church currently under construction at 2304 Lower Huntington Road, Waynedale.

This years fall trip started Friday night, September 13. The group consisted of Jim, Randy, Boyd, and myself. We headed for Michigan's Upper Peninsula with only a general idea of where we wanted to go. Anything after Labor Day is considered 'Off-Season' in the UP, so there is always an abundance of available cabins. We got out of town by 9:00pm and headed north.
