Jamie Gieschen has been awarded three scholarships from VU. She has received the Martin Luther Award, the Lutheran Heritage Award, and the Lutheran High School Award. PALM SUNDAY GROUNDBREAKING

Details Father Joseph Rulli Center directing procedures for the groundbreaking ceremony.

On Palm Sunday, 03-24-02, the St Therese Church parishioners, diocesan representatives and community leaders broke ground for a new worship facility. The ceremony took place after the 11: 30am mass with Bishop John M. D'Arcy and Father Joseph Rulli presiding. Unlike other groundbreakings, all parishioners were invited to bring their own shovels. AUXILLARY Post 296 will be hosting a self-defense and home safety demonstration on April 27 at lpm. Parker Shelton (7th degree black belt, former world rated contender, and a member of "Who's Who" in martial arts), Duane DuMont (of Post 296, a black belt in 2 styles as well as National champion in l992), and Tom Brown (of Bryan Ohio, Post 284, a brown belt), will all be presenting the demonstration. Pfc. Corey B. Trosper, grandson of Howard and Imagene Trosper of Waynedale, recently graduated from the U.S. Marine Corps' basic training facilities in San Diego, California. Rita Marie Parrot and John Christopher Nagy, both of Celina, Ohio, are planning a wedding May 11 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina.

Their parents are Kevin and Mary Parrot, Fort Wayne, and John and Pam Nagy, Celina. The bride-elect graduated from Bishop Luers High School and is employed by Parker, St. Mary, Ohio. Her finance graduated from Celina High School, Celina, and is employed by Crown, New Bremen, Ohio.
