NE INPAWS Garlic Mustard Pull

On a recent Saturday morning, a group of nine warriors met to eliminate an enemy. The site: Metea County Park in northern Allen County.

The warriors: Northeast Indiana Native Plant and Wildflower Society (NEINPAWS) (INPAWS).
The target: Garlic Mustard!

The high point of the summer at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish is their summer festival known as SetonFest! With a 5K Run/Walk, games, grilling, beer tent, Corn Hole Tournament, music with Urban Legend and so much more, the parish festival is a time for parish families,
friends and neighbors to enjoy each other’s company.

The 122nd Fighter Wing, which flies the A-10 “Warthog” airframe, has deployed eight A-10 Thunderbolt IIs and approximately 140 Airmen in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve for a month-long combined training event, overseas, to Sliač Air Base, Slovakia.

Summer has arrived and it is important to remember that although amusement rides continue to be a thrill for Hoosiers of all ages, riders need to remain informed about ride safety.

Waynedale Picnic 2015

It’s time to mark your calendars for the 14th Annual Waynedale Community Picnic. This year’s picnic will be held on August 27th from 10am-3pm at the Waynedale Park at the intersection of Koons and Elzy Street just off of Lower Huntington Road. LRWP Wine on the Wetlands

Local land trust Little River Wetlands Project will host its summer fundraiser, Wine on the Wetlands, on Friday, August 5, 5:30-8:30PM at its Eagle Marsh preserve, 6801 Engle Road, Fort Wayne. Presented by Aqua Indiana with additional support from 3Rivers Federal Credit Union, Anthony Wayne Corporation, and Allegra Printing, the event will take place in the barn and under a large tent nearby. All are welcome! We are seeking to provide fresh, wholesome, locally grown produce to those in our community who have limited access to it. This season, garden harvest times will be Mondays from 4-6pm, Wednesdays from 10am-12pm and Saturdays from 10am-12pm.
