POOLS & SPLASH PADS OPEN MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

Details

The City's free splash pads will be turned on Saturday, May 24, with plans to keep them turned on until Labor Day.

Northside Pool will be open May 24 – 26 and May 31 – June 1, opening daily starting June 7.

McMillen Pool will be open  May 31 – June 1, with daily hours also starting June 7.

Memorial Pool will open for the season on June 7.

25TH ANNIVERSARY HOLLY DAYS CRAFT SHOW

For 25 years the Deer Ridge Elementary School Parent Teacher Club (PTC) has been proud to host one of the largest holiday craft shows and sales in Northeast Indiana. This year's 25th anniversary of the Holly Days Craft Show will be held Saturday, October 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

USF OFFERING SUMMER ACADEMIES TO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

The School of Creative Arts (SOCA) at the University of Saint Francis will host pre-college summer academies in theatre, music technology and art through the month of July for high school students in grades 9-12. STUDENTS PERFORM SPRING MUSICAL DISNEY’S ALADDIN JR.

On May 16 and 17, St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth School 5th through 8th graders performed in the spring musical, Disney's Aladdin Jr.

The students performed in the memorable roles of Aladdin, Jasmine, the Sultan, Jafar and Iago.

Three students used puppetry to bring to life the parrot Iago and the Magic Carpet.

Audiences enjoyed songs from Disney's Aladdin, including "One Jump Ahead," "Friend Like Me," and "A Whole New World."

GET OUTSIDE THIS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

DNR campgrounds and cabins at state parks, state reservoirs and state recreation areas are booked to capacity for Memorial Day weekend, except for Trine State Recreation Area in Angola, where recently renovated cabins are still available.
