Miskelly Chiropractic Center would like to announce the recent addition of Dr. Scott Eckelbarger to the practice.
"I am excited to have the opportunity to be involved with a practice which has some of the most up to date Chiropractic treatment equipment," said Dr. Eckelbarger.
Dr. Eckelbarger is a Fort Wayne native who has been with the practice for about two months. Before returning to Fort Wayne, he spent a majority of his career owning his own practice in Indianapolis. Dr. Eckelbarger received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University. He continued his studies at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa where he received his Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree and graduated Cum Laude in 1989.
Early in his career, Dr. Eckelbarger specialized in sports injury treatment. He was the trauma physician for the Major Taylor Velodrome, a cycling training and competition facility. He was also a member of the physicians treatment team for the 1991 World Gymnastics Championships and provided care for Olympic athletes.
"Providing pain relief to our patients is our top priority," said Eckelbarger about himself and Dr. William Miskelly.
With 25 years of experience, Dr. Eckelbarger has helped his patients find fast effective pain relief from common ailments such as low back and neck pain, sciatica and whiplash. However, many people are unaware that Chiropractic has great success in treating shoulder injuries, plantar fasciitis and chronic headaches. He prides himself in the unhurried and thorough evaluation of each patient's particular problem. He is also proficient in many chiropractic styles and techniques, tailoring treatment for each specific condition. He also develops home stretching and exercise programs to provide continued support and prevention of future injuries.
Miskelly Chiropractic Center boasts in having the Pro Adjuster, a computerized adjusting instrument which allows for gentle, but very effective joint treatment? The office is also equipped with other advanced physiotherapeutic equipment, including the Solaris muscle therapy. Solaris treatment allows to directly treat the muscles and ligaments involved with a condition.
Dr. Eckelbarger attends chiropractic conferences and seminars on a regular basis. Among them is an 80-hour intensive lumbar treatment and protocols conference. He has also received certification from the Southeast Back Institute for proficiency in the evaluation and diagnosis of lumbar syndromes. "I have always enjoyed being out in the community," said Dr. Eckelbarger. "I enjoy the opportunity to help support and give back to the people."
One way he helps to give back to the community is by having seminars on various health issues that local business employees face.
Dr. Eckelbarger is known to many of his patients as "Dr. Scott". He is a loving father of 6 children, two boys and four girls. He is an active member of his church. He enjoys outdoor activities, such as cycling and hiking.
