For her effort in entering the contest Susie, as she likes to be called, was presented with a framed 'sheet' of recently published stamps depicting pictures taken by and named for some of the great photographers of America. The 'AMERICAN MASTERS OF PHOTOGRAPHY' stamps show scenes and pictures taken by such photography greats as Ansel Adams. Susie's winning picture, which she refers to as "Winter Solace," will hang in the Waynedale Station Post Office, 7025 Old Trail Road, here in Waynedale, for one month beginning July 11, 2002. You may see Susie's winning picture anytime Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5pm and Saturdays from 8:30am to 12-noon.

Susie, a Waynedale resident, is married and the mother of two Eagle Scouts, Bryan and Chad Jensen. Susie and her husband Terry have been active in scouting for over 20 years. Susie said, "I got started taking pictures of our two boys when they were little and after they grew up I decided to go into photography as a part-time hobby. She has found her niche in life as photographer, grandmother, working woman and as she put it, ". . . just having fun doin' what I love doin'."

Susie, a sometimes photography contributor to The Waynedale News, has recently started taking wedding pictures part-time. She can be reached by calling 745-9754.
