From an AA meeting in Iraq

In truth, the week of February 23, there was no meeting for the first time in the modern era. Most of the military personnel that were here have redeployed. There are still a couple military people, and a couple of us contractors who haven't had the sense to go home, but this past week, March 1st, we had a good turnout, 5 contractors and 1 soldier, even though we had to scramble at the last minute to find a new room as our regular room is again being used as a...

This week's HTYH is more about Step Five, "Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs." Bill Wilson called Step Five vital and on page 59 of his book titled 12 Steps & 12 Traditions he said: "Why do we need to bring anybody else into this?"

This week's HTYH is about one of the greatest leads I've ever heard at the Waynedale United Methodist Church open speaker meeting held on Church Street here in Waynedale on Thursdays at 7:30 PM. Bill Wilson called Step Five vital and on page 57 said: it was also the means by which we began to get the feeling that we could be forgiven, no matter what we had thought or done. Often it was while working on this step with our sponsors or spiritual advisers that we first felt truly able to forgive others, no matter how deeply we felt they had wronged...

ENGLEWOOD HEALTH & REHABILITATION CENTER OPENS MEMORY CARE WING

Details Touchstone Terrace resident Valena Carey enjoying the company of Activity Director Jill Aspy. When life’s events bring about change for a loved one, Englewood Health & Rehabilitation Center can help with their new memory care wing called Touchstone Terrace.

Seniors with Alzheimer's disease now have a new, resident-focused place they can call home. On January 1, 2004, Englewood Health & Rehabilitation Center opened Touchstone Terrace, a wing developed specifically for residents with dementia and Alzheimer's.

"We believe Touchstone Terrace is able to fill a void in the southwest Fort Wayne area for seniors with Alzheimer's," said David McMahan, Administrator for Englewood. "There are other facilities with large dementia care units, but ours is...

This week's HTYH is more about Step 5. Bill Wilson wrote a book titled, Twelve-Steps, and Twelve-Traditions, and on page 56 he said: This practice of admitting one's defects to another person, is of course, very ancient. It has been validated in every century, and it characterizes the lives of all spiritually centered and truly religious people. But today religion is by no means the sole advocate of this saving principle. Psychiatrists and psychologists point out the deep need every human...
