FLEET FEET OFFERS WALK/RUN PROGRAM FOR BEGINNERS

WALK-RUN-PROGRAM-Runners-on-ParadeAre you new to running or walking as an exercise? This nationally recognized beginner program is perfect for you! Five kilometers (or 3.1 miles) is a seemingly insurmountable distance to those who have never participated in running or walking activities, but Fleet Feet Sports Fort Wayne's Nationally Recognized No Boundaries program will help participants cross that finish line in just 12 weeks. Through motivation to keep participants moving, weekly group training runs and educational clinics, program participants will achieve their goals while feeling stronger and healthier than ever before.

"No Boundaries participants will learn about proper nutrition, choosing the right running or walking gear and avoiding injury," said Kevin Croy, co-owner and operator of Fleet Feet Sports-Fort Wayne along with his wife, Jeanice. "These lessons, alongside basic walk/run training, are all key components to 5K success."

Fleet Feet Sports-Fort Wayne has two free informational sessions for interested runners on April 9th and April 16th. Training for those who sign up for the No Boundaries program begins on April 29. Participants will complete their goal run in the "Runners on Parade" (Three Rivers Festival) 3.1 mile race on Saturday, July 12 to conclude the program.

No Boundaries, sponsored by New Balance, is a nationally recognized beginner 5K training program that goes beyond the training basics of time and distance. The No Boundaries program has helped thousands of individuals to finish a 5K race while developing active communities and encouraging healthy habits that can last a lifetime.

In addition to the No Boundaries program, Fleet Feet Sports-Fort Wayne's expert staff and coaching teams will offer 10K (6.2 miles), half marathon (13.1 miles) and full marathon (26.2 miles) training programs.
