ABOITE TOWNSHIP ONE-ROOM SCHOOL REUNION

Details

The fifteenth annual Aboite Township One-Room School Reunion was held on Saturday, October 4, at the Aboite Township Fire Station Reception Room on Aboite Center Road with a total of 50 in attendance. Of the eight one-room schools, Aboite Center # 5 was well represented. The eight schools of the township were: Klaehn #1, Stouder #2, Harper #3, Cory #4, Aboite Center #5, Bullard #6, Homestead #7 and Hogg #8.

While the world celebrated the end of WW1, Grace (Drage) and Homer Crowl happily welcomed the birth of their first (and only) child into the world on November 5, 1918 in Wells County. Being hard times during the Depression, the young family moved several times but Glenn and his mother remained faithful attendees of Waynedale United Methodist Church since 1927.
