Celestial Delights with the Queen of the Night

 

During the third week of February, the first quarter moon will assist the casual stargazer locate bright winter stars and two planets. I am sending you pictures of the quints born at Suburban Hospital, and a little update on how they are doing. You know, when the Dionne quints were born, it made world-wide news, and now with the assistance of fertility drugs, we are seeing more and more multiples.

The mother, Stephanie Powell, is known to me as a fellow nurse. She is also a friend of my daughter, Betsy. So it is especially personal to be a part of this multiple blessing.

Dear Cousin,

 

Cold wind sighs through the hemlocks with a sad winter sound, and stirs the tenacious oak leaves with a dry, papery rustle. Dark, lowering clouds have threatened all day to spill freezing rain or float snowflakes upon the hills, but have kept their burden so far.

I had not seen Billy for nearly a week, so I went to his house to find him. I peered through his bedroom window only to see his motionless body. When he would not respond to my pounding on his window, I called 911. When the fire department broke into his home we found his lifeless body. Digital Cameras versus the 35mm Film camera.

 

Although I am no pro at photography, I'm willing to take three cameras and test them out. I went to test them out on something I'm proud of, The new Smooth Jazz 106.7 billboard that I designed for the radio station. We used my personal digital camera from Santa Clause Olympus C4040, the trusty Canon Rebel from The Waynedale News and a newly purchased HP 715 from The Waynedale News.
