Herbert C. Banet, 89, died Wednesday, March 12, 2003 at Renaissance Village. A native of Fort Wayne, he was a Northrup High School Guidance Counselor and retired in 1979. Clara O. Holmes, 87, died Thursday, March 13, 2003 at her Fort Wayne home. A native of New Haven, Indiana, she was employed in Waynedale, Butler, Gary, New Haven, and Indianapolis as an elementary teacher. She was a member of First Wayne Street United Methodist Church and a volunteer at the Embassy Theater. She was preceded in death by her husband Sigurd N. Holmes, who passed away in 1973.

Herbert M. Branning, 73, died Monday, March 24, 2003 at Parkview Hospital. A native of Fort Wayne, he was a baker at Perfection Bakery. He retired in 1992. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of American Legion Post #241. He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce A. Branning who passed away September 16, 1997.

Salvatore "Sam" DiNovo, 92, died Sunday, March 23, 2003 at the Hospice Home. A native of Chicago and a resident of Fort Wayne since 1928 (he lived in Columbia City from 1976 to 1991). He owned Arrow Motor Transit, the first common carrier in Fort Wayne, for 33 years. He owned S & L Trucking for 15 years. He retired in 1975. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church and Fort Wayne Transportation Club. He was preceded in death by his wife Lena Zion who passed away in 1991.
