Mary Jane Bredemeyer, 44, died Saturday, February 22, 2003 at Lutheran Hospital. She was employed at F.W.O. for 3 years and Lutheran for 22 years as an RN. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She was a loving Wife, Daughter, and Aunt who will be missed by all who knew her.

John E. Ormiston, 92, died Sunday, February 16, 2003 at Lutheran Hospital. A native of Fort Wayne, he retired in 1972 from General Electric as a Supervisor after 42-1/2 years. He was a member of Trier Ridge Church of God. He enjoyed bowling and helped to form the GE Senior Bowling League.

He is survived by his wife Ruth P. Ormiston, Fort Wayne; daughter Judy Bostwick, Fort Wayne; sister Mary Griffith, Fort Wayne, 2 Grandchildren, and 1 Great Grandchild.

Herbert C. Ferry, 71, died Friday, February 14, 2003 at his Fort Wayne residence. He retired from Joslyn Steel, then worked as custodian at New Haven Methodist Church. He was a member of The Fraternal Order Of Eagles #2455 and a Komet Hockey fan.

He is survived by his wife Betty Ferrey, Fort Wayne; daughter Kem Ferrey, Fort Wayne; sisters Mary Lou Whistler, Englewood, Ohio; and Joyce Adkins, Roanoke, Indiana.

Manley Arthur Smith, 83, died Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at Parkview Hospital. A native of Chicago, Illinois, he was a maintenance worker at Slater Steel for 32-1/2 years before retiring in 1982. He was also a greeter at Wal-Mart for 10 years after retiring. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and American Legion Post #296. He was a WWII Army veteran. Mabel S. Herbst, 91, died Tuesday, February 17, 2003 at her Fort Wayne residence. A native of Greenfield, Indiana, she was a homemaker and a member of United Faith Presbyterian Church.
