Arnold J. "Jack" McCormick, 79, died Friday, February 14, 2003 at Lutheran Hospital. A native of Wilco, West Virginia, he retired as bartender from Fort Wayne Country Club in January of this year. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and a member of Eagles #248. He enjoyed his grandchildren, baseball, and bowling. He was preceded in death by his wife Sonya Jean who passed away October 26, 2000.

George E. Nieto, 74, died Sunday, February 16, 2003 at hospice Home of NE Indiana. A native of Quito, Ecuador, he worked as an export manager at Central Soya and retired in 1982. He was then self-employed as an International business consultant.

He is survived by his wife Yolande Nieto, Fort Wayne; sons Paul W. Nieto, Fort Wayne; Robert M. Nieto, Lancaster, Pennsylvania; daughter Anna C. Specht, Fort Wayne; and 4 Grandchildren.

Mary Jo Piatt, 70, died Thursday, February 13, 2003 at her residence. A native of Fort Wayne, she had formerly been employed as a clerk at Peerless Cleaners and also at S & H Green Stamps. She was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald W. Piatt.

John E. Ormiston, 92, died Sunday, February 16, 2003 at Lutheran Hospital. A native of Fort Wayne, he retired in 1972 from General Electric as a Supervisor after 42-1/2 years. He was a member of Trier Ridge Church of God. He enjoyed bowling and helped to form the GE Senior Bowling League.
