MATTHEW P. JOHNSON, 42, of Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015. Born February 21, 1972, in Pontiac, Michigan, he was a son of Paul Johnson and Mary Ann Scheckel. He served in the U.S. Army. He later worked for the Allen County Juvenile Detention Center. He was very active in the Boy Scouts and served as a Scout Master of Troop 344.

Surviving family include his son, Connor Johnson; and mother, Mary Ann (Steve) Scheckel.

He was preceded in passing by his father, Paul.

JUNE "SIS" MARJORIE (PETERS) HUGHES passed away February 5, 2015 at home surrounded by her family members. She was born June 10, 1926 in Fort Wayne to the late Joseph Charles and Evelyn Laura (Martin) Peters. She was the fourth of nine children.

MARY LOU (STAUP) SPENCER, 60, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 after fighting cancer for over three years.

Mary was born to Donald and Betty Staup on March 7, 1954, in Lima, Ohio. She married David Spencer in 1978, and they moved to Indiana in 1986 with their children. In addition to spending several years as a stay-at-home mom, Mary also worked for Southwest Allen County Schools and served as the church secretary at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church.

MARY ELLEN FOLK, 91, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2015. She was born on March 9, 1923 to the late Frank and Arletta (Woods) Keller. She worked as a homemaker. She was a member of the Fairview Church of God and Evening Star Home Economics Club. She was very active in the Avalon Missionary Church food pantry and a very avid fan of the Fort Wayne Komets.
