LOIS L. PATTON JETMORE, 90, of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 at her home. She was born October 3, 1923 in Decatur, Indiana to the late Oren M. and Inez M (Hayes) Gilpin. In her early years, she helped during the war effort by working as a riveter and then in later years she worked as a homemaker, raising her family. After her family was raised and most recently, she worked at Homestead High School as a cafeteria assistant. She was a member of Living Faith Missionary Church.

She loved music from the beginning, playing the bass drum in school and learning to play many more instruments, such as the bassoon, piano, and the accordion. Her love of art will be remembered by the many paintings left behind. She sang in the church choir and loved ministering with song at many nursing homes well into her 80s.

She was a loving, Godly, mother and grandmother, always encouraging to her family and friends. She was loved by many and will surely be missed.

Surviving are her children, Stanley B. (Claudia) Patton of Fort Wayne, Charles G. (Nola) Jetmore of Roanoke, Brian Jetmore of Kokomo, and Cynthia (Terrence) Sordelet of Fort Wayne; brother, Lyndon (Doris) Gilpin of Atlanta; grandchildren, Tammy (Greg), Dennis, Jr. (Lynnette), Danielle (Lee), Emily, David, Phillip, Andrea (Jacob), Genvieve (Simeon), Joseph (Amy), Nathan, and Julia; many great grandchildren; and sisters in law, Barbara Borgeson and Ann Jetmore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Herman B. Patton in 2012; 2nd husband, Robert V. Jetmore in 1981; son, Dennis D. (Gail) Patton; sister, Madeline (Gerard, deceased) French; and brother, Orton (Joan) Gilpin.

Funeral service is Sunday, March 9, 2014 at 2:30 P.M. at Living Faith Missionary Church, 17718 State Road #1, Yoder, IN 46798 with 1 hour of visitation prior. Visitation is also on Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809. Burial will be at Pleasant Chapel Cemetery, Roanoke, IN.
