Ooooohhh I just have to tell you about a place that serves up fabulous breakfasts and lunches and dinners and desserts. It's Rich's Café at 3411 Lower Huntington Road. Waaaaay back when, the old Charky's Restaurant stood there. I remember Wayne and I used to go there every Sunday morning after church, well as often as we could anyway, and order lunchfest or breakfast or brunch or whatever. We enjoyed it so much. Wayne was on probation most of the time because the waitresses were tired of...

SMALL TOWN:

Recently my brother-in-law Vic Heniser past away. ‑Relatives from out of town came to pay their respects. ‑A cousin from Phoenix noticed how caring and gracious the staff at Elzey's were treating the family. ‑He made the comment "this is really small town." ‑Another cousin from Midland Michigan arrived in town with car problems. ‑She took the car to Favory's. ‑Upon hearing her dilemma Tim stopped what he was doing and immediately replaced the water pump so they could be back in Midland that...

You've read what I have had to say for the last three-plus years. I write about what I feel is important. Not too many have written back to me in disagreement with what I have had to say. The Padres have renewed their working agreement until 2004 so that's something the Wizards won't have to worry about during the off-season. The Padres pay the ball players salaries only during the season. With an...

Oooooohh I have to tell you I didn't want to do this column again so soon but Bertha called and said she was on her way to a 'viewing' and she did it right at deadline too. Bob said to go ahead and do it; he didn't even bother to draw short forks this time either. We assume she lost another one of her girl friends or a relative to old age; she didn't say. But she was sniffling and I could hear her tubby hubby grumbling in the background about having to lay on the bed to get his funeral suit...

The Key to God's Heart by Charles F. Stanley

I was only in the first grade, but I still remember the key that unlocked the door to my house. It was one of those long, black keys, and after I left in the morning, I would hide it under a rock so nobody but my mother and I knew where it was.

I remember sometimes coming home in the afternoon and wondering if the key was still there. Then I recall moving the rock and experiencing a tremendous sense of relief when I spotted the key. What made that...
