Subject: For whom should I vote? ‑‑‑‑‑‑‑‑‑‑‑

October 22, 2002

Dear Editor;

Every two years folks run for office and seek my vote. ‑Those who hold the office use the free mailing privileges that they vote themselves to tell me how much they are doing for me at my expense. Those mailings, of course, I pay for. Interestingly, they never seem to write me a list of all of the ways they have increased my tax burden.

The tax burden on the average American is about forty dollars of each one hundred...

THE VETERAN. How do we give them the honor and respect that they have earned, and is a right due them when our heavenly Father calls them home to stand the eternal watch? Each and every Veteran, whether they belong to a veterans organization or not, is due a military service (if they or their family so desire).

But whom do they ask? The funeral director is a good place to start. Or call an AMERICAN LEGION, VFW, or AMVETS Post. One of the Post Officers will be more than willing to give...

They started serving dinner at 5...

This started his series of stories, "You Know Me", which promptly became a national craze of baseball yarns.

On July 31, 1915, "Alibi Ike" was printed. As you read this story you get the idea that Alibi Ike has...

Sweet Home Alabama

Directed by: Andy Tennant

Reviewed by: Kasey Butcher

Thank God for Alabama, for it saved Melanie Carmichael (Reese Witherspoon, Legally Blonde) from making a huge mistake and me from having to see two movies again in order to find one to recommend. Sweet Home Alabama is an adorable movie that proves that you can "take the girl out of the honky-tonk, but you can't take the honky-tonk out of the girl," and that a girl can get her guy and her dream all at the same...
