Ooooooooohhh I have to tell you, I'm back from vacation and I had such a lovely time down south. They said I went to a nude beach. If you believe that then I have a yard full of antiques you can have. Wayne and I did rent a condo of some sort. It was high up and it had a private balcony and it was facing in such a way that there was sun on it most of the day and well, all I can say is my tan is all over. Wayne looks like a spotted rabbit though. He stayed in the sun as much as I did but...

To the Editor of THE WAYNEDALE NEWS,

The voices of the future must not be denied. This is a plea for the attention of the men and women who have been elected as Indiana House and Senate members, the men and women who influence the life of each individual in this state. Each year 75,000 children benefit from the efforts of the 35 Youth Service Bureaus. The goal of these organizations is juvenile delinquency prevention. They help children by connecting them with mentors, providing shelter...

The original 8 teams were Clinton and Dubuque, Iowa; Mattoon, Paris, and Decatur, Illinois; and Kokomo, Lafayette, and Michigan City, Indiana. Michigan City replaced Hannibal, Missouri from the 1955 M.O.V. Hannibal...

A lot has gone on since 9/11 happened. A lot of flags have been bought, flown, and displayed in every way shape and form. THE WAYNEDALE NEWS handed out about 1000 flag decals before, during, and after the Memorial Day weekend. I bought a new flag at Maynards and am flying it night and day from our porch. My neighbor has a pair of boxer shorts made to look like two American flags sewn together.

I have seen our national symbol on cars, trucks, windows, billboards, and magazine covers. Both...

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Letter to the editor,

(Sent to Journal Gazette)

In Response to Martha Schamehorn Jeers for Fort Wayne High School band directors . . .

Sorry Lady but the Waynedale community as a whole and especially the writer of this letter have nothing but PRAISE for Mr. Carson Kirby and his excellent ELMHURST High School Band for their participation in our Memorial Day Parade. However I will agree with Martha that a greater representation would be appreciated from the local high schools.

Charles...
