THERE'S A PIECE OF HISTORY IN YOUR POCKET

Did you ever stop and look at a 1-dollar bill? It's not just a piece of paper to exchange for something of equal value; it's a whole history book setting there in your wallet. Take a 1-dollar bill out and look at it while you read this. The bill you're looking at first came off the presses in 1957 in its present design. It is made, not from paper, but is in fact a cotton and linen blend with red and blue minute silk fibers running through it....

Ooooooooohhh I just have to tell you of the cute little old place that Wayne and I went to. We had coupons for Blimpie Subs and Salad so we went to the one at ParkWest Shopping Center. The coupon said that if you buy one sub you get one free if it costs the same or less than the first one. I gather the cheap one is the free one.

Wayne ordered a 'wrap' instead of a sub. It seemed to be a large thick tortilla wrapped around some kind of meat that was hot and spicy with lots of cold...

Editor,

The center of Waynedale looks like the slums. We have four houses on Lower Huntington that are an eyesore, the property is for sale, they are just before you get to Beaty Avenue. Stop the madness. So many of us from time to time in our lives, get caught up in a rebellious lifestyle that leaves us empty, hurting, knowing what we must do.....but not doing it. It would have been so much easier if God would have just not given us "free will" to make our own decisions. Then everything we did would be in accordance with His will, His plan for our lives. But the fact is He did give us the ability to make our own choices, and in so doing, has given us the ability to live at...

AN AUTOGRAPHED BASEBALL

Many times I am asked, "Would you like to see my sports scrapbook?" My answer is usually "Yes" as I love to spend hours looking at old newspaper clippings. After I have examined these scrapbooks sometimes there's a final question, "What is this worth/" My reply is usually, "It is priceless."

I also like to look at autographed baseballs and softballs. I even have a few. One is dated July 15, 1980. On that day Taylor Chapel UMC slow-pitch team beat St. Charles 13-5...
