I don't think I ever told anyone publicly but I love the town of Waynedale, Indiana. Of course it doesn't look anything like the small town that I came from in West Virginia 37 years ago. First of all, Gassaway, West Virginia is built partly on the side a mountain and when viewed on a topography map it looks like a peninsula, surrounded on three sides by water; Waynedale is for all practical purposes – flat. Part of Gassaway is on the banks of Elk River; Waynedale has a small creek and a...

Oooooohhhhh I just have to tell you where my little tubby hubby and I went to eat last Sunday. We went to the Munchie Emporium at 5907 Covington Road. They weren't too busy, just a steady stream of customers coming and going. We've been there before on different days and they were very busy then. We just happened to be out and around that day and as usual I had my book of coupons with me. We were given one of those entertainment coupon books that the Boy Scouts sell. That cute Ray McCune...

To the wonderful people of Waynedale,

Just recently I lost my husband of 27 years – Larry D. McGinnis. His sudden death was devastating; yet during this time of grief the love, compassion, prayers, and support the people of Waynedale and surrounding area have shown my family and me, has been overwhelming.

Praying doesn't seem to work. It doesn't look like any miracles are on the horizon. What now? What is the next move?

First of all, praying...

PLENTY OF ACTIVITY IN THE KOMETS PRESS BOX

Most hockey fans know what is happening on the ice, but a lot of them don't know what happens during a Komet game in the press box. I didn't know so I thought someday I'd write a story about what happens in the press box.

I picked the Wednesday, January 23, 2002 game between The Komets and The Port Huron Border Cats.

It all started with me arriving at The Coliseum at about 7pm with Peggy a 10-year usher veteran letting me in through the...

President Ronald Reagan

(Exerts from an article published in Guns & Ammo - November 1975)

". . . the purpose of this article is make the case against gun control."

Daily we read in the newspapers or see or hear on the air, stories of death and crime and violence involving the use of guns. There are tales of robbery victims that are shot down in cold blood or executed "gangland style." There are stories of deranged parents killing their children or deranged children killing their...
