Oooooooohhh I just have to tell you where I've been; Lord knows I have enough people telling me where to go. OK, I've been to the Ponderosa for Sunday dinner and I can't say that I was overly impressed with their service, or their food, but I can say our waiter was such a dear. He made me/us feel right at home. He fetched and carried for us with such a pleasant cute little smile and he was there if we needed anything at all. He got us extra napkins when we had to clean up Wayne and kept our...

I tell anyone who asks, to join the NRA, purchase a firearm, learn how to use it safely, and then practice with it at a shooting range at least once a month.

The next question is usually, "What kind of firearm?" I tell them, "You don't have to be an expert marksman with a shotgun but get what you feel...

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Details

Editor,

A couple of weeks ago I indicated to someone that if I could, I'd enlist today and help my country track down those responsible for killing thousands of innocent people in New York City and Washington, D.C. But I'm over 50 now and the Armed Forces say I'm too old to track down terrorists. You can't be older than 35 to join the Army. They've got the whole thing backwards. Instead of sending 18-year-olds off to the fight, they ought to take us old guys.

In fact, you shouldn't even...

Oooooooohhh I just have to tell you where we went to dine recently. Our daughter and her family was in town along with all our other children and their families for our big once-a-year Thanksgiving dinner. Since Elizabeth and I haven't seen each other in over a year and since neither one of us likes to cook very much, we decided to let the husbands and children take us out for breakfast without the rest of the family. We needed our special time together. As it turned out we could have had...
