The movie I really wanted to see was in limited release this week, forcing me to wait for the romantic comedy that promises to be a hit and instead venture into another horror flick, a sci-fi movie based on a book I've never read, or a comedy about 60-somethings hitting on 20-somethings. Blast from the past! This week I decided on a throwback dining location. I chose one of Fort Wayne's oldest and most unique restaurants. Don Hall's Original Drive-In was opened in 1946 by Don Hall. Hall had a vision of using his land on Bluffton Road to open a restaurant. However, he made that dream into a reality bigger than he imagined as his restaurants slowly started popping up all over Fort Wayne, each with its own unique identity and theme. HELEN J. LICHTSINN, 86, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2013, at Saint Anne Home. Born March 1, 1927, in Harpersville, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Regiec) Demski.

She worked and retired from General Electric. She was a member of the GE Elex Club, Quarter Century Club, El-Par; Stitch for Charity; and a 46-year member of St. Therese Catholic Church.
