Ooooooh I just have to tell you, Wayne and I received a gift certificate for Hall's Restaurants. We got to go out to eat for free, if you don't count the tip that my spendthrift little tubby hubby left for that cute little ol' waitress that was so all fired nice to us. Not that I mind a nice, good natured, kind, considerate bubbly person to wait on us mind you, but they should never send one so nicely built and so young. Wayne spilled his water, dropped his napkin for the umpteenth time and...

Although I live 2000 miles away, I still think of Waynedale as home. I have been away for nearly 30 years but I look forward to The Waynedale News and read it cover to cover, but always start with Mrs. Waynedale for news on good restaurants in the area, and of course, her darling Tubby Hubby. Don't let her get away. Thank you so much for continuing to send the paper to me each time it comes out. God bless you all and keep you in his shelter. Mrs. Barbara Claymiller, FL

Ooooooh I just have to tell you, "Happy 2004 everybody." My, my, my, I haven't felt this good since last year. Wayne and I have been down south a time or two in the past few months and we've gotten a little behind. Well, actually my behind isn't so little since the holidays, but I'm working on it. Wayne said for me to get an industrial strength girdle and just forget it. Wearing one of those contraptions in my condition, in public, would be a dangerous thing if it got loose from me or...

REFLECTIONS ON NEW YEAR'S DAY

Years ago, now, I remember that John Hinkle, one of our seminary's teachers in the area of pastoral care and counseling said that one of his favorite verses from the New Testament was from the book of Revelation, Chapter 21, Verse 5: Behold, I make all things new. I'm not sure that I could tell you after over 25 years out of school, many other things that John said, although to be honest, he made a huge impact on my life. But, I can tell you this: his...
