Ooooooohhh I have to tell you about a place that will bring back a lot of memories if you were raised up in the era of the 40's or maybe even the 50's. It was called 'George's' and it's on Jefferson Street in Huntington, Indiana. I think maybe the full name is George's Hot Dog Stand; I saw it printed both ways. It first appears to be a small 'hole-in-the-wall' place.

Tubby Hubby and I were out joy riding and decided to stop somewhere and get a snackypoo. As usual I had our Entertainment...

Young Kids Don't Belong In Major League Dugouts

The USA Today, October 28, 2002 issue had an article, "Family Oriented Giants Hope MLB Doesn't Ban Children From Dugouts." Of course some of the students were a little exuberant but then I think they wanted to show off a little for the visiting uniformed Scout leaders, Troop 44 Scoutmaster Jack Shepard and Miami District Exec Dave Kinnee. Of course I was...

AT THE MOVIES WITH KASEY BUTCHER

Halloween is just around the corner. For some people that means trips to local "haunted houses," indulging in cheap, pre-trick-or-treating candy or terrorizing the neighborhood with stupid pranks. For me it meant roping my friends into what I thought was a great idea-"The Super Spooky Halloween Double Feature." So we went to see Red Dragon and The Ring, which scared me so badly, I was afraid to close my eyes and didn't fall asleep until 2:30 the next morning.

Red Dragon, the prequel to The...

Subject: For whom should I vote? ‑‑‑‑‑‑‑‑‑‑‑

October 22, 2002

Dear Editor;

Every two years folks run for office and seek my vote. ‑Those who hold the office use the free mailing privileges that they vote themselves to tell me how much they are doing for me at my expense. Those mailings, of course, I pay for. Interestingly, they never seem to write me a list of all of the ways they have increased my tax burden.

The tax burden on the average American is about forty dollars of each one hundred...
