DEER HUNTING FEES REDUCED

To better maintain a balanced deer herd, the DNR has encouraged the taking of antlerless deer during hunting season. The Natural Resources Commission ratified a proposal by the DNR that will reduce the cost of certain bonus antlerless deer tags.

DNR AWARDS HISTORIC PRESERVATION GRANTS

 

Once again, the Department of Natural Resources Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology is working with local communities and not-for-profit organizations to strengthen Indiana's historical and cultural heritage through preservation projects.

Reserved Turkey Hunt Check-In Time Changed

 

Turkey hunters drawn for reserved hunts at eastern or central Indiana public properties will not need to register at the property until 5:30 a.m. "The sunrise is later in the day in areas that have changed to Eastern Daylight Time, so we can register the hunters a little later in the morning," said DNR wildlife biologist Mark Reiter.
