Waynedale Politial Commentaries

What are your Waynedale (Fort Wayne), Indiana politicians working on for you? Local, regional and state wide politics can be found here written by your elected officials.

CELEBRATING OUR HOOSIER STATEHOOD - STRAIGHT FROM THE SENATE

Details

On December 11, 1816, Indiana became the 19th state to join the Union. Each year on that date, various activities celebrating Indiana's birthday take place around the state.

One of my personal favorites is the Statehood Day celebration held at the Statehouse in downtown Indianapolis. I would like to invite all fourth-grade classrooms in the Fort Wayne area to attend Statehood Day this year, and commemorate the uniqueness of what it means to be a Hoosier.

As part of Statehood Day, fun and...

This year, the City Street Department will conduct two leaf pick-ups in each neighborhood, beginning on October 21 and running through December 6. The leaf collection crews will start on the South side of the city and work their way North.

Leaf collection crews will be in the Waynedale area, and other...

ENERGY BILLS - VOICE OF THE TOWNSHIP

Details

It is that time of year again when you can see the seasons turning right before your eyes. We enjoy the vast array of colors now, but we dread what is coming after the sweet music of fall has played its last note. Yes, it's true; winter will be here soon. It's inevitable.

Winter weather brings winter bills, and that is the unfortunate focus of many families around the holidays. If you are struggling financially this year, the Wayne Township Trustee Office wants to inform you of a program here...
