Waynedale Politial Commentaries

What are your Waynedale (Fort Wayne), Indiana politicians working on for you? Local, regional and state wide politics can be found here written by your elected officials.

I had the great pleasure to participate in the grand opening of the Jorgenson YMCA facility last week. What a fabulous building! The first sight as you walk in the doorways is a huge room filled with the most modern weight machines, stair climbers, treadmills, and other exercise equipment that can be found.

It is that time of year again when the temperatures cool and the leaves start to fall. The City of Fort Wayne's Street Department is gearing up for another year of leaf pickup. This year's program will begin on October 13 and run through December 19.

As you know, Fort Wayne's municipal elections are now fairly close—Tuesday, Nov. 4th, to be exact. Don't forget to make sure you're registered to vote! If you would like a mail-in voter registration form or...

Public meetings have shown that one of the greatest needs in the City of Fort Wayne is assistance with home repairs. Many in our community cannot afford to make major repairs to their homes, instead being forced to live in unsafe or unhealthy conditions. The City is responding to this need and is making additional funds available for home repair programs.

I recently announced funding for two projects that will aide low-income residents in need of home repairs. The City is allocating an...
